And most Model X owners are happy with a vehicle that&#8217;s quick in a straight line&#8230;but Dr. Karen Thomas of Greer, South Carolina, wanted more. In 2018, she set out to prove a few things:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Her Tesla is the fastest Model X in the world<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>She can conquer any race track like a boss<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rimbladesusa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fastest1.jpg\" alt=\"Fastest x\" class=\"wp-image-16643\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>Driver Dr. Karen Thomas<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Thomas loaded up her 2018 Model X P100D with upgrades, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Ludicrous Plus mode download<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Power Stop performance brakes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Red <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rimbladesusa.com\/product\/rimsavers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RimSavers<\/a> on all four 20\u201d Slipstream wheels<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In Dr. Thomas\u2019s quest to prove that she has the key to the world\u2019s fastest Model X, she entered her Tesla into a large racing competition. OPTIMA Batteries, along with Advance Auto Parts, hosts an annual competition for the fastest street car. It\u2019s featured on a show called \u201c<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"DriveOPTIMA.com\" target=\"_blank\">OPTIMA\u2019s Search for the Ultimate Street Car<\/a>\u201d on the MAVTV network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.rimbladesusa.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/fastest2.jpg\" alt=\"Fastest x 2\" class=\"wp-image-16644\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"><em>The Fastest Model X In The World, sponsored in part by RimBlades USA<\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Thomas\u2019s Model X is in the GTE class for electric vehicles. She competes against other Tesla models \u2013 including a 2014 Model S and a 2019 Model 3. To no one\u2019s surprise, Dr. Thomas is the current points leader. With her Model X, she has won many races, including the GTE Class at DriveOPTIMA at NOLA Motorsports Park in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Thomas has seen her Model X\u2019s speedometer exceed 135 mph.
